About Me
Curriculum Vitae
Hi, I'm Ben Humphreys, a programmer and general learning-type guy from England.
I started programming in PHP, before moving onto Java and C++. Recently I have been writing a lot of Ruby (like Wowr), which I started through Ruby on Rails. Most of my Java work has been through conducting research for the University of Southampton, and I also have experience of object-oriented C/C++, part of which was gained through the implementation portion of my dissertation on evolutionary systems.
I started learning Japanese over 6 years ago and I'm still fascinated by new aspects of the language I am discovering even now. At the moment I'm working towards level 1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, mostly by using Anki and the Kanzen Master series of books.
After finishing my degree in June 2008, I will be moving to Tokyo to live and work there. I'm really looking forward to starting my new life there and learning a ton of new skills. Yoroshiku!
